I am the culprit
I was the culprit in my attempt to declaring my income tax successfully as I cannot login with my digital signature properly. And the reason is... the language of the OS was set to a native language instead of English (US). So for those having the same error "error 5, invalid procedure call or argument", please proceed to change your regional and language settings to English (US).

Last day to declare income tax
Just back from the income tax office (LHDN) where the area including the roads to there and the parking area was full of people. No camera around to take any photo though. I just parked my car 500M away, rush to the office, get my Pin and run home to finish the final step...

Rusty
The last time I sign in to Chess Tactics Server was 1 month ago on 27th Mar 2007. Details as shown:
The consequences of being inactive for 1 month is RUSTY and hence I got following rating and success rate:
60 rating points missing, 1664 -> 1604 and 0.1% success rate missing, 80.2% -> 80.1%.
Well, it's terrible as even at some point, my rating drop till below 1600, 1570+ to be exact!! So chess require constant practice~~ Practice make perfect~~
Cheers!!

To Perlis Rapid Open, I am Going
This Saturday will be the first time I am going to Perlis for a chess tournament as I have not been to Perlis for years not to mention playing in a chess tournament over there.
The objective is high as I think master would not want to play in an event with RM80 as first prize but this tournament will be serving as a testing ground for my openings so things might turn out ugly.
Some details of the event:
Organiser: Sek Men Keb Syed Hassan & Persatuan Catur Prestij Perlis
Venue: Kantin SMK Syed Hassan
Date: April 2007 (Saturday)
Time: 8.00am – 6.00pm (Round 1 start at 9:00am)
Please visit GilaChess.com for more information.

Malaysia National Rating List - April 07
The April version of Malaysia Chess National Rating list if finally out. I had no rated game played over the Jan~Apr period so my rating stays at 1680. Too bad all of the 4 tournaments that I had played in Penang was not rated (USM Individual, Team, PFS Open, CLHS Open) or else I would had my rating >1700 as I finished top 10 in the events and losing only 4 games in total...
Until then,

Important Notice for all Jit Sin Students
Excerpt from blog by Jynee read as follow, sorry for some foul language in following text I think the guy was quite pissed.
Newspaper, Kwong Wah Yit Poh did report on this issue.
So guys and girls, please beware!
Best regards,
Eu Hong
This is a letter from Chee Yang. According to Boon Pin, Seow Meng from my batch, graduated 2001 become one of the victim last month as well. My fellow friends, please be aware and inform your family immediately. Don't let those bad guy misused our graduate magazine.
Hi all,
My name is Choo Chee Yang, and I graduated from SMJK Jit Sin at 1999, currently stay in singapore . However, my parents are still stay in BM.
Last friday morning, i received a phone call from my mum, said a guy called and claimed that he was my classmate, named Han Ping or You Peng. Told my mum that he wants to send the wedding invitation card to me.
That time i only recalled i got a classmate called Han Ping who is now working in Singapore as well. So i told my mum i don't know and thought mayb he'll mail to me, I wasn't vigilant enough to tell my mum to beware since it maybe a stranger.
But, this guy showed himself at my house in BM and wanted to hand over the invitation card to my mum, my mum got to let him enter to show politeness and my mum said he ' s looks smarter than me (good looking guy not bad guy's mentality).
After he entered, started to tell a lot of stories to distract my mum, such as my school time's stuff. After awhile, he complaint he was thirsty and required a drink. At 1st he said he can't take cold drink, so my mum went in dining room to pour warm water for him, unnoticely he followed behind and then suddenly changed his mind that he wanted cold drink. So my mum went to fridge to get some cold drink.
At this time, this f**ker told my mum said his b**** mother was waiting outside and he want to fecth her outside. So this fucker walked out in the seconds. Before my mum noticed something wrong. This bloody cb f***er took away my mum ' s hand bag and a new mobile phone that i gave my dad during chinese new year.inside my mum hand bag there's a old hand phone and rm40++. Although i am very very frustrated, but the loss was not too great. Just a new samsung mobile most.
But, whati most t*l** was this bloody cb f**ker went to another friend of mine called Teh Chee Hong's place. Headdressed himself the same name as he told my mum, and he's able to tell Chee Hong ever met in the motorcycle's accident during in the school time and he's currently in Japan. As usual, Chee Hong's mother believed what he said and let him enter. The details of these incident I was not too clear because it was told from my neighbour Ming Hong to my mum who is very closed to Chee Hong. All I knew is this time, this cb f**ker really cheated her that he knows the methods to clean to golden chain and jewellry etc. So she brought out all her jewellry to let the f**ker clean it. And this f**ker really took away a total cost of rm7000 from her!!!!!
Friends from Jit Sin,i suspect some organisation has used our graduation book to get our address and house phone no. And they maybe had monitored our residents a long period of times. So i am here as a victim to warn you all, to tell your family not to open the gate to a stranger who claimed he's your old schoolmate. Because this maybe the wolf within a sheep's outfit, this f***ker is look alike my friends in the graduation book's photo. This incident I have told my friend Chau Chong, Han Ping, Aik Keong, Koon Chuan, Kean Kun etc. And I'll make more calls to others.
To prevent this syndicate still active, I pleased that all mates could take this incident seriously and I want this cb f**ker get arrested. I hope BM police force and school administration can notice this issue.
Last, please help me pass this message to other Jit Sin pals and wish there's no more victim from now on.
Newspaper, Kwong Wah Yit Poh did report on this issue.

Eu Hong

And the 1000th visitor is
Not a great archievement though, but at least I got some regular readers.. Thanks for the support. =)

Idiot
Who is the idiot? He is non other than yours truly, me, myself. Well I installed PostNuke as the CMS (Content Management System) for my website but could not manage to configure it in such a way that it act the exact way I want. Finally, I had to write my own CMS with PHP, create the MySQL database and design my own template which is ugly, well I am no designer and always get complain since years ago.
Am I am too stupid to use a system or am I simply too choosy?
Cheers!

I had to travel more than 300km as a driver last weekend. On the way back, my friend suggested to stop and take an ABC** at the side of the road. While it ain't so delicious as compare to what I can get in Penang but it was from far away.
Guess where was the place.
**ABC? ABC == Ais Batu Campur == Ais Kacang (please refer picture above).
Cheers!!

Threaten
Someone just walked over and asked me "Did you mess up with my friend?" during lunch hour, Date 20070403 and Hour 1310. Can we call this a threat? May be I should file a police report on this...
Someone just does not ask a friend to threaten me like this, this is not the way. If someone does not like me, just tell me and we can sort this out the other way but not by telling someone else and let the someone else threaten me...
I know I joke a lot but I always tell out my words with a smile and that means big jokes. May be some people does not like that. I remember joking around and a friend told me he did not like that so I sort of keep it serious with him after that...
But this time...

Still Active
I had not been playing in any FIDE rated event and get rated (I do play in Malaysian Chess Challenge which was rated but never paired with any of the rated players.) As a result, my FIDE rating should be inactive according to the rules of FIDE. My record however is still active when I check on the latest FIDE rating list this morning.
My rating card as follow or available at FIDE (World Chess Federation) official website.
My world ranking is of 5 digits as shown here or figure below.
Well, I should start finding a few days off my work commitment and join 1 or 2 FIDE rated events later this year or else I will be inactive soon...
Cheers!!

Dinner @ Little Kitchen Restaurant
Gathering became the theme last night when we (3 people only) gathered at Little Kitchen Restaurant for dinner and later went for movie, Meets the Robinsons. We all ordered a set dinner that is different from each other and as usual we took photos. Well, ladies first so here we go the photo of the girl with her main course.Next myself with 70% cooked steak. Finally, the guy with pasta. The dessert!
The food was good and the atmosphere was great. For those looking for a great place for dinner (candle light dinner) can look for the restaurant at Bandar Sunway, Prai, Penang.
Until then,
Cheers,

NEC Computers Community Open House 2007
The year 2007 edition of NEC Computeres Community Open House concluded successfully last weekend (23-24 Mar). I was helping on the game booth to let the visitors complete a puzzle and get a free PS2 Optical mouse. We gave out several dozens...
On the mean time, I managed to take some times to take some pictures with people around. For the opening, here is a picture between me and a pretty lady. Guess who is she? She is one of the models for NEC Computres!!
Nothing particular happens after that as day 1 was only a few hours and after that, we went to Penang for dinner. As a record, we ordered 10 dishes for 12 people! The people just could not wait for me to finish with the photo.
Day 2, and my colleagues insisted that I should meet an ex-colleague... as they say..
Do we look like brothers? They all say that, what do you think?
Well, that's all for NEC Open House as some other photos are...
Cheers!!
