Is Your Printer Spying On You?

Is your printer spying on you? But how? Is it going to watch you while you are sleeping? No! Definitely not. But it is spying on you on a more scary way.

Finding by EFF, Electronic Frontier Foundation shows that every time you print something with your color laser jets, a secret code is actually embedded along with the printout.

Take a look at the following picture. these yellow dots which are invisible for naked eyes is embedded on the printout by most of the laser printer model. However, not all model is associated with this function or a least the searching by EFF that comes with the list of printers shows some printers does not spy on you. Or do they?

Pretty scary hey?

For poor people like me that is using an inkjet will have little to worry about this since the printing that I normally get is not-too-clear to able to embed yellow dots...
